Have you ever seen this flower before? *PICS*

Post by Diabolique »

These are Peruvian Daffodils, just starting to bloom in my garden. Aren't they kinda wild looking?
They have a beautiful fragrance too, similar to a gardenia:

Pretty.

Dad says it's, "too green around here. We need color." I'll show him your pictures and see what he thinks of those types. Are they pretty easy to care for? Also, I love Roses and lillies, but roses are such a pain in the to grow and care for. =(

Pretty flowers. :) How much time do you spend maintaining your gardens?

I just have a balcony with containers of flowers. I have to replace a couple plants because they didn't take.
You tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is, "never try."

You have a big BIG garden. :)

Things are looking very nice though. I have never seen that first flower though. It looks quite interesting. :)

Yep...they are pretty easy to care for! And they are perennials, so they die back in winter but return every year. :)

The ones that are not hardy to this area -meaning that our winter is too cold for certain plants- I grow them in pots and then store in my garage.

Thanks! ;) I check up on them regularly, but since I have a drip/irrigation system installed, they get watered automatically at pre-set times every other day or I'll just program an irrigation zone to get watered more often if those specific plants require more water. So, once plants are in the ground, they are pretty maintenance free.

Beautiful photos! I'm not much of an outdoor gardener; I do better with house plants, but I am considering putting in some junipers or the like around my home.

Schweet. Maybe you should charge admission to see your garden, since it appears to practically be a botanical sanctuary already. :p

A beautiful arrangement of floral depiction you
have there, Ingrid! Nice pictures! If I we-
re to select one of the flowers post-
ed to respresent myself, the Pe-
ruvian Daffodils would do ni-
cely since my demeanor
and physical appear-
ance is quite mi-
sleading (lau-
ghs). Wha-
t a gar-
den!
