After getting my replacement 360 today, the freeze problem seems to be fixed! As is the disc loading tray... no more gripes for me about that so far!

Nice to be able to play 'The Darkness' without it freezing every 5 minutes

Congratulations on acquiring a fully
repaired 360, Roemello! Does
this mean that the PS3 w-
ill be neglected until
Lair and Heave-
nly Sword a-
re relea-
sed?

Have you tried the jumping slash technique, Roemello?
That attack usually results in an instant kill since
it decapitates opponents often. When usin-
g this move, you may not even need t-
o dodge or block at all. One gripe
I would like to release is this:
I cannot stand how easil-
y the PS3 gathers d-
ust! The next d-
esign shoul-
d be m-
atte
!

I don't like the SIXAXIS controllers on the PS3. Glad they kept the same design, but the lack of rumble is a huge problem. Classic example is when playing a baseball game; when playing two player and trying to find the edge of the strike zone without the pitch cursor (so my opponent can't see where I'm placing the ball), rumble helps me determine pitch placement.
I've also had problems with controller commands over Bluetooth just plain dropping out. Doesn't happen frequently, but it's happened on a few occasions.

Not the most reliable of control shemes I would say, and
that is after experiencing L.A.I.R and even attemp-
ting to utilize the feature in Motorstorm, and t-
o date, I am still unable to get it to work al-
l of the time, or even a huge majority o-
f the time. SIXAXIS should have bee-
n an optional feature instead of
a mandatory one. I cannot p-
icture myself playing a s-
ports game with this
control set-up, es-
pecially if the
game excl-
usively
use
every
degree o-
f control to t-
he SIXAXIS. Ugh!
Sony needs to obtai-
n the rights for the rum-
ble mechanic now that the
issue with them and Immers-
on has been ironed out. Instea-
d of selling a new PS3 with larger
storage capacity, better games and
a better sense of control should have b-
een the focal points. Who guides these de-
cisions in Sony? They will be soon to follow Se-
ga if this continues to be the case. Software only.
(no more hardware...)

Well it looks like Sony has finally gotten its act together as it recently announced a Dualshock 3 controller for PS3 at this year's Tokyo Game Show, expected to come out in April!

And while this is not the solution to their financial
woes, it is a step in the right direction for So-
ny. Now all they need to accomplish is to
secure exclusive titles for their syst-
em. Something else Sony should
consider is allowing optiona-
l use of SIXAXIS. Forcing
gamers to use a bro-
ken control sche-
me is never
a good
ide-
a.

The last Gears of War update somehow re-locked insane diffuclty (and I was almost finished, just had to take out RAAM) and wiped out all the cog tags I had found.

Ouch! Many apologies to learn of your issue,
Poison PJ. I cannot say that I have hear-
d of or experienced a similar situati-
on at all... although, at this poin-
t of achievement point gathe-
ring, I could have lost som-
e and not even notice t-
hat I did. I have read
that someone exp-
erienced an ach-
ievement poi-
nt lock-up
with th-
e foll-
owi-
ng ga-
me: Gui-
tar Hero 3.
I hope this is
not commonpla-
ce to lose achieve-
ment points or have
achievement progress
become locked during u-
pdates or downloads. I'll s-
ee if I can research this if t-
ime allows for such an action.
