I've Reached A Milestone

Today marks an important milestone for me. One year ago today I quit smoking !!!!! Other than the 30 pounds I put on this past year, I feel great. I used to get all winded climbing up to my second floor apartment and I would weeze all the time, especially when I went to bed at night. Now I don't. I honestly didn't think I would be able to quit..... especially since I smoked for 25 years..... but I did and I'm proud of my achievement. I even won a bet with my brother-in-law, to which he now has to give me tix to Fenway Park to watch my favorite baseball team the Boston Red Sox this upcoming season. By the way, these are not bad seats either.... they're off to the right BEHIND homeplate about 18 rows up. So I'm pysched, especially since I've NEVER been to Fenway or a Red Sox game !!!! So, as you can imagine.... I can't wait :D

Congratulations! I hope the game's a good one, I wouldn't mind taking in a pro sports game or two some time. Highest tier I've seen live is a Canucks training camp, and other than that BCHL (Junior A) games.

Thank you all for the encouragement.... It has been hard at times but I stuck it out. NOT for the tix though..... for my own health !!!! Now I'm getting ready to start my new resolution that I'm thinking will be a 2 year project. I'm going to lose between 85 and 90 lbs. I'm determined and ready to embark on my new 'journey' and I'm ready to welcome the new ME. When I'm determined to do something NOTHING will stop me  I'll let you know how I'm doing with it from time to time. Wish me luck :thumb:

Thank you Ingrid  All I can do is try..... but you're right about one thing.... I DO have willpower and I am determined. I knew it 's going to be hard to lose 85 lbs, so I want to be realistic and give it a couple of years or so to reach that goal. As long as I stay determined, I know I can do this :)
