Time to get those televisions all warmed up And EZ Chairs broken in again!

And of course... time for me to say "GO STARS!!!!!!"

It's going to be strange watching this season. The new roster for the Canucks is a bit of a hack job -- missing Bert & Jovo, lots of new guys, new coach. No idea what it will be like. But here's hoping!

If Hasek pans out in Detroit, fantastic. If he doesn't, Ken Holland should be beaten with a rubber chicken and told to do better. I don't care if there's a salary cap now; there's no reason not to snap up a half-decent goaltender from somewhere other than a retirement home.

The Buffalo Electrics Slugs......er......Sabres season starts next Thursday and I can't wait.

I say Electric Slugs because their new logo looks horrible and looks like a freaking Electric Slug.

I always thought it looked like a toupee, but yes, it's a God-awful logo, and I fail to see what was wrong with the old one.

That said, I have passes to the Blue Jackets' home opener this Friday against Vancouver. I don't quite get their logo either...navy blue with lime green? Frankly, if they went easy on the lime green, it would be a bit...umm, less flashy.

The Stars are now a perfect 5-0-0 with their shootout win over the Ducks last night. That's the second-best start in franchise history.

Boy am I excited now!

How are YOUR hockey teams doing this season so far?

EDIT: Oh, you mean my hockey team. In that cast, subpar, not terrible. Sorry. My FOOTBALL team is doing terrible, so it's natural to assume every team I root for is.
