Actually, I don't see that. I don't think rayeanne cares enough. For that matter, I don't see May having as much of an impact under the new rules set as he could under the old one. If they're really gonna crack down on obstruction in order to improve the flow of the game as much as they say they will, then May wouldn't be able to just fly down the ice and smack people upside the head like that anymore. He'd end up spending most of his games in the sin bin, and no team would want him constantly putting them on the penalty kill like that. <

If a player has the puck, or if you're the player with the puck, or if both you and the opposing player are racing for the puck, you can mash 'em. Otherwise, you can't mash 'em. That's how it's always been. The obstruction rules now say that in addition to not being able to mash a player without the puck, you also can't put yourself in their path. Refer to Illegible Diagram A:<

Unless May has a subconscious ingrained hatred for everything wearing an Avs uniform burned into his
ain (you know, kinda like you do ), I can't really see that happening. Whether or not he'll have much of a positive impact, though, remains to be seen, as I said before.<
