When you go to watch a hockey game, do you specifically request the safest viewing spot or do you not care what the location of your seat is? <

I usually don't worry about it...the odds are pretty slim of something terrible happening. Had a close call once, though...took a friend to a game and she nearly got struck by a puck. She was fine, though. This was at an OU game...

I don't worry about it. It's my responsibility to watch out for flying pucks/sticks, not the arenas job.

It was C... ;0 Yeah, that was this past season...we were playing a team that looked like they bootlegged their uniforms from the Dallas Stars. They obviously didn't bootleg any goaltending, though; we beat them 6-2. It's also the only close call I have ever had with a puck...or a baseball or anything, for that matter, and I have been going to baseball games for years.

Well, I think the odds now of getting hit are less because of the safety netting they installed... However, I remember one time at the old Stars Arena before the netting where I felt like I had a Bull's eye on me the whole time because we were right behind a net just above the edge of the glass.

I think the shatter-proof glass seems safer than a net. Wouldn't you agree?

I totally agree. Plus, the net interferes with my vision.

Most hockey areanas have nets to prevent this but the Minor league Games dont. I have been to the few and havent seen any pucks fly out. <
