I got bored a few nights ago & I remembered that I burned a CD filled with free software that I've downloaded a while ago. Here's a look at "Student-ware" or "student created software" which was created as a college project.<
><
>Schools like Digipen publish some of their student's projects online for the public to play. Please be aware that because the software was created by students, there's a few downsides that you have to consider.<
><
>The Software comes "As Is" & there's no guarentees that it'll work on your computer or even turn your computer into a big paperweight. -- However, most software has that clause in it.There's NO TECH SUPPORT for the software. -- The students who made the game may not be there to make bug fixes & that. If problems occur, you have to fix them yourself. The only guarentee you have is that the games had to work on their computers. Not all features / restrictions may work. -- Please be aware that the software the students make have to be completed within a semester or two ON TOP of all their class work. You will be the basic stuff from the game, but don't expect everything to work. You may be required to fill out a form before downloading the software -- The schools who are hosting the software like to know who's picking up the software. Most forms are pretty non-intrusive.<
><
>With that said, try out some Studentware today! You may find a hidden jem that you like!<
><
>So far, DigiPen's program download section is located at http://www.digipen.edu/programs/gallery/games/<
><
>Some game that you should try are:<
>Matrix Attack -- http://www.digipen.edu/programs/...trixAttackCapture the Dude (online capable) -- http://www.digipen.edu/programs/...tml#CTDudeGenJox (online Capable) -- http://www.digipen.edu/programs/...tml#GenJoxAkross -- http://www.digipen.edu/programs/...tml#Arkoss<

Re: Freeloader's Computer Games
Right now, with the games that I've burned onto a CD... I'd have to say Matrix Attack. It kind of resembles a 2-sided version of Tetris Attack using a Hex-board.<

>It's currently the only one that I still have installed on my computer at home. I'd play the others (like GenJox & Capture the Dude), but you need an online connection & friends with the game to really enjoy them. <
