I have invites to Google+ if anyone is interested in adding me or joining up. For an invite, send me a private message with your email address or Google ID; or to just add me, check the castle (I didn't want to post the direct link to my profile here in the open; if you don't have castle access I can PM you the link too). You can probably also find me via my gmail address if you have it.

What is this, Google's attempt to usurp Facebook, Skype, Flickr and AIM all at the same time? Because that's sure what it looks like based upon the wiki page about it.

The only Google or Google-owned services I ever use on a regular basis are the normal search function, Youtube and Google Maps, and I used Google Books once or twice to try and find citations for some papers I wrote in grad school. Beyond that, they can stuff their taking-over-the-world agenda in their ear.

I'm on the waiting list for it, but feel free to push an invite my way.
Use my Google Username... assuming you still have it, otherwise you can PM me.

Yep, I found it. I wasn't aware when I first posted the thread, but anyone who's ever sent me an email or to whom I've sent an email is already in a premade list of people it suggests that I invite.
Also, I'm suspect that the waiting list is a bit of a farce, especially when everyone gets effectively unlimited invites once they're actually registered on the site.

First, thanks for the invite...
Second, I feel a bit... underwhelmed... at the interaction options available, but that might be due to the lack of friends on it at the moment.

No thanks. Google+ won't allow handles and are deleting accounts by the butt-load. In some cases, they are cutting off all Google services because of this.

This is absolutely silly. This is like Facebook circa 2004. Where's the functionality??
