I haz a championship!

Post by Roemello »

In what I thought would be another fantasy hockey trouncing, the season long battle which seemed to be mostly between Frong and myself is over! And I got my first fantasy hockey title! :dgrin:

/end pat on back  :p Was a fun run though! Even if a few seemed to have abandoned their teams!

Meh. I had a good sized lead a couple times, but what eventually killed me was the fact that my goal scorers quit scoring and the Rangers (and therefore Lundqvist) went downhill. :\ I also apparently went overboard in making sure I had enough guys who get shorthanded points; I ended up falling behind in power play points, but had like twice as many SH points at the next team. :duh:

Oh well, second isn't bad. Great joerb, 5p00n3j. :p I'll beat j00 next year, though. :hammer:

One year I'll pay enough attention to actually stand a chance again. :p

How can people keep forgetting to update their smeggin' roster like that? I just don't get it. You only have to do it one week at a time if you don't have the patience to look at it every day, you know. :o :frypan: Personally, I checked the previous day's results almost every single day, and only ever forgot to update my roster and left guys on the bench like twice the entire season. That'd be why this was a two-horse race instead of an actual league, you know. :p

Most of the time, I was only doing mine once a week. I know I wouldn't remember to keep up with that daily, so I'd usually just fix my rosters a week a time. Thankfully though, checked in sporadically for injuries and such and replaced where necessary.

Mostly because some of us don't have this luxury called 'time' and the copious amounts of it with which to sit in front of our computers and do whatever we want.

You can't find ten minutes during the week to briefly look back at what your guys did and set the roster for the next week? Man, you really DO phail at time management. :twitch:

More like I'm more pre-occupied by non-internet related real-life crap that I don't want to deal with that when I do get to do anything on my computer it comprises of doing stuff that doesn't require any thinking.

My excuse is pure laziness. That and totally forgetting about it.

Laziness is an invalid but at least understandable excuse. :hammer: :p Not being able to find ten minutes during the entire week when you have the patience to edit your lineup and glance at the overall standings once just doesn't make any sense to me. Even if you worked 80 hours a week, I should think you'd still have a little bit of free time here and there. :\
