While Microsoft is promoting Windows 7 as the greatest thing since sliced bread, and the early previews are generally positive, they've apparently decided to continue the downgrade program. News.com reports that system vendors will offer the option to downgrade back to Windows XP, and can even pre-ship systems with XP. Vista will also be provided as a downgradable option for fans of the OS.

They said the same goddamned thing about Vista and we all know how well THAT'S worked out...
Re: MICROSOFT OFFERING DOWNGRADE FROM WINDOWS 7...
Windows 7: Start Edition on networks would likely incur the wrath of XP downgraders since they're crippling that version to only allow 3 apps to run at any given time... which is pure crap.
However, the other versions of Windows 7 may gain acceptance... but it's a bit too early to call it.
