Beware the tiny ant!

Found an ant tonight, so the macro lens was back in business! This time I made a size reference shot, too. This was just one of those teeny tiny black ants ya can barely see... they look like a dirt speck moving unless ya look extra close

OMFG... DUDE what kinda macro lens is that?? size I mean. That lens has to be worth every penny y ou paid for it. Those shots are unbeleivable!!!!

Daaaaang... that's freakin' tiny. Honestly, nature amazes me with its ability to produce in insane variety of animals that are so small that they practically shouldn't be able to have functioning biological mechanisms on that scale.

The Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens. Certainly not a low budget lens, but I've been quite pleased with it thus far! Still more improvement to be had though

About the size of the ant... I know! I was thinking the exact same thing looking at those shots after seeing the ant from outside the lens and it's amazing. Actually I was thinking about that more with how they have lungs in those little bodies... I was able to put that one to sleep in the same "gas chamber" as the spider
