I'm getting sucked into the Diablo series, again... I'm borrowing the game from my brother's fiancé to install on my computer & using Game Jackal to eliminate the CD requirement.
I'm not planning on going online with the games, but it's one of the good PC games that have stood the test of time.
If I could find the PS1 version of Diablo for a good price, I'd likely buy it.

I'm having some problems getting Diablo II installed since the Install CD is damaged (badly scratched). I'm going to borrow another copy from a friend, to see if that fixes it.
Once I have it installed, I'll be able to play w/o the CD as the latest patch for the game permits CD-less play.

Finished Fallout 3's "The Pitt"... which I found to be much more enjoyable than Anchorage, though the Trogs could be massively annoying. Fun new weapons down there

Now I'm full on into Guitar Hero Metallica... which is NOT by any extent of the imagination an entry level music game

Unlike other titles of the genre, I think ya gotta be pretty adept to playing before even thinking about attempting this one. Granted I never play on anything less than medium, my fingers never had to fly so fast than in some of these songs

Have you tried cleaning the Diablo disc via layering
at all, TStodden? I had an old gaming disc that a
friend of mine gave me which was in poor co-
ndition and I thought it would be unplayab-
le... but after bringing it to a gaming s-
tore that has a disc layering device,
it was restored to being playable.
I own such a device but canno-
t seem to find it. Good luck
in getting it running. At l-
east one ran, you will n-
ot need the disc muc-
h afterwards under
the condition pre-
viously mentio-
ned. Congra-
tulations o-

the Pitt
for Fallout
3, Roemello! T-
hat "weed-whacke-
r" is quite the weapon
from what I've read and s-
een via videos and since it w-
as the ONLY weapon provided w-
hile there, it's not like you had muc-
h of a choice (laughs). Was Metallica m-
ore of a challenge due to your familiarity w-
ith Rock Band considering how much easier is
it compared to Guitar Hero or was it specifically
designed to be more of a challenge? Curious am I!!
These were selling
for cheap, so I
took advan-
tage of t-

Tron (UMD) $2, and Capcom Classic Collection (Remixed) $6...

That would be the Auto Axe in the Pitt, though there are other weapons you can find in there... some powerful lasers no less! As for Metallica.... it's much more difficult than the other Guitar Heros and Rock Band can't even compare in the difficulty realm

I've been 5-starring 'em all so far with just a few to go... and can do some on hard, but that's after a lot of practice playing literally every guitar hero and rock band game to come down the pike

And even still it's very rough... but at the same time a lot of fun since the music is so frantic and fast paced!

I think it was made to be more challenging, though as heavy metal is just more challenging to play in general anyway.

I knew not about lasers in the Pitt, though I didn't
read too much about the download, so I guess
surprises were to be expected (laughs)! P-
erhaps the developers knew that thos-
e who invest in this addition must
have been hardcore enough to
have bested previous GH g-
ames, so to keep them i-
nterested, it had to b-
e more of a challe-

I was able to invest in a DSi
after getting rid of som-
e older titles that I w-
as not playing and
didn't plan on d-
oing so any t-
ime soon.
I'll try i-
it out
soo-
n!
The DSi and a few other bonuses that I received for being one of the first 25 people to get a DSi! Refrigerator magnets (lower left), a cleaning cloth (lower middle) and a 2000 point card.
The DSi opened...

They keep changing that thing so much, I may just wait for the next incarnation.... there'll be a DSi lite before ya know it
Just finished all the instrument careers for GH: Metallica... now working over the band career to finish it off. This I pull off playing guitar and vocals at once

After that I'll be messing with Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts... started it up, but want to finish up Metallica before I jump into that all the way.

Laughs! I won't be surprised if two
more iterations are released b-
efore this year's end (laugh-
s). While I have not dow-
nloaded all of the appli-
cations just yet, I'm
enjoying the few t-
hat I own so far.
Still deciding o-
n whether I s-
hould get th-
e rest or w-
ait for th-
e other
appli-
cat-
ions t-
o be rele-
ased. Was G-
H Metallica that
easy? I hear that it
was supposed to be m-
uch more difficult. No 36-
0 gaming for me right now, b-
ut that's destined to change. We-
ll... maybe not just yet since there's
one title that I plan on obtaining soon!!
(in 2 days... or one!)

The songs are difficult, but one thing I've found is it doesn't take as much to actually pass a song. I finished the band career AND expert career (on bass), so it's not really too, too bad if ya know how to play. I think I'm all set with that one now besides playing the songs I like for the hell of it

That's good to learn! What I need to
do is stop procrastinating and s-

I'm acquiring, but yester-

there was much th-

I got Diablo II installed after I borrowed the install CD from him (after helping him overhaul security on BOTH of his computers). The install disc from my sister-in-law didn't look terrible, but I noticed a nasty dark spot on the disc... which caused problems when it was verifying files during installation.
She knows about it, but she most likely WON'T replace the disc anytime soon... or at least until Diablo III comes out as a Diablo collection.

But it was playable though, or wasn't it?
I could understand why your sister w-
ould not want to replace the old d-
isc seeing as much of a challen-
ge to locate, well.... in my ar-
ea anyway. I will check aga-
in to make certain thoug-
h. I guess you don't pla-

when it's released,
huh? I never got
involved in the
series, but th-

-Full Throttle
-X-Wing vs Tie Fighter series
-Ragnarok
-Everquest
-Maple Story

Changed my mind... just finished RE5 again on a fast run through to get the infinite rocket launcher and now priming for a go at professional

Got all the S-rankings and everything else done, just gotta attempt the final super hellish run... see how long my sanity lasts through this mess
