Congratulations on getting that PSP, Masa! I
managed to complete Portait of Ruin, bu-
t I went back to the previous save to
discover other hidden items I ma-
y have neglected. So how is P-
ersona 3 if I may be so bo-
ld to ask? Currently, I a-
m playing Daxter on
the PSP, Strangle-
hold and COD4
beta on the
360 and
Gekid-
o on
DS.

Mainly focused on Metroid Prime 3. Very cool game so far! It has a lot more feel of the first Prime to it. I thought the second was a little too crazy and bizarre with the whole dual world deal... that works for Zelda, but not for Metroid  The control scheme is very well done too... really does put ya right into the action when you have to do everything physically from aiming, firing, grappling, pulling, pushing, interacting with the flight console in the ship... still at the beginning (just got the ice missile), but so far it's looking great!

Also picked up LAIR Wednesday despite all the bad reviews... I'm a dragon freak, so I had to  I actually found the sixaxis controls to be pretty easy to use myself! I was expecting it to be all jerky and messed up the way the reviews were going, but it worked quite well on my system! The graphics are phenomenal and the battles so far look so grand in scale. If the entire game consists of aerial battles as the first few levels I've gone though have been, I can see where it could get kinda blah quick, but it's not bad for what it is... could've been monumentally better, but it's alright :p

Got myself Formula One '06 (for the PS2) these days and found out that you can't really play it with the joystick...to play it seriously, you need a driving wheel, otherwise you will botch it for sure and get nothing but a sore thumb from holding down the accelerator button 90 minutes long.

While I was disappointed with L.A.I.R, I would still invest
in it... just not for $60! Glad am I to learn you are en-
joying it though, Roemello. Congratulations! I did
more research on Metroid, and it's another ga-
me that I would like to own if the price dr-
ops. After playing Resident Evil 4 on t-
he Wii in a game store, I was hook-
ed and will have to invest in it e-
ventually! Truly fun thanks to
the controls, and much ea-
sier to navigate throug-
hout the screen whe-
n battling enemie-
s! Tis great th-
at you were
able to o-
btain
Formula
One, Wave-
meister! Holdi-
ng any button dow-
n for more than 30 mi-
nutes will cause blisters d-
epending on the severity in w-
hich that button is being pressed.
And if there are races which last as l-
ong as actually 24hr races, pit stops bec-
ome "REAL" resting periods for the gamers!

As the holidays approach, I foresee finishing games to be a matter of severe difficulty with all these big titles coming out :uhoh:  Got Heavenly Sword for PS3 and Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition for PSP today. Heavenly Sword is unbelievable graphically... the battles I've found to be good fun and the voice/character acting is among the best I've seen in a game! It's amazing how well they put it all together. I've heard it's short, but I haven't found it too easy! I'm at the fight with that big booger lookin guy "Roach" and getting my arse kicked  :p

The SIXAXIS controls on it suck HORRIBLY though... thank goodness you're allowed to turn them off. I hope game devs either steer clear of sixaxis altogether or give options to turn it off like this one... LAIR wasn't too bad, but the aiming system on this one was really bad...

I love the Final Fantasy remake for PSP! They did great with the graphic/sound upgrade... though playing a random battle/dungeon crawler type game again... oi :duh:

Blisters are not really the problem, as my racing tactic is pretty simple but effective - a Finnish invention by rally driver Rauno Aaltonen called "leftbraking", means that (in case of playing terms) the thumb remains on the acceleration button for the most times and only working the brake button when needed. But the joints...after a longer session, my hands are feeling like having the gout (hey...I do have gout attacks sometimes! :D ).
And, the joystick controls are not fine enough IMHO...so one day, I wil surely receive a firm kick in my butt when my girlfriend's coming home and discovering a racing wheel on the table.

I just have that picture in my head...during a real F1-race, one of the Ferraris coming in, and the driver gets out to have a smoke.

Congratulations on acquiring Heavenly Sword Roemello! While
HS was and still is a game I would like to own, it is not one
I wanted to spend 60 dollars for. If I can find it used or e-
ven perhaps on sale, only then would I invest in it. The
battle with Roach has plenty of context sensitive mo-
ments to it which makes things tricky initially sinc-
e there are no warnings as to when these events
will take place. Good luck with your progress i-
n HS. Be glad, Wavemeister that the kick y-
ou will receive will be one in the rear and
not one to the testicular region (ouch)!
The strategy you mentioned probab-
ly works best in F1 titles because
I have tried in Gran Turismo ti-
tles, but it fails. Then again,
GT is a driving sim, so th-
e controls are made to
be fit for driving an-
d not racing. I wo-
uld think the tw-
o would be si-
milar if not
the same
though.

(oh well...)

Even though I already owned
this since last night, I a-
m finally able to pl-
ay it at home!
Introduci-

The Legendary Edition: Notice how many games it takes to rival its size?
Image

It comes with: A Spartan Mjolnir Mark VI helmet case (which is larger than I thought, but cannot fit a head of any type thanks to the mounting hole, a mount (the object on the right), a disc containing all of the CGI from the previous two Halo titles (lower right), and the actual game (lower left). The outermost box is really a poster, though the image can only be viewed when this box is inverted.

Just got back with my limited edition copy! Easy as can be too! No lines, not bs, just pick it up off the table and off I went! They had legendary sets too, but as nice as it looks, I could get another game for the extended price  Cool stuff for collector's purposes though!

Nice Halo stuff. :thumb:

Persona is pretty nice. A good challenge. I am getting ready to play it some more now. Oh, I picked up Jeanne D'Arc for the PSP over the weekend. A nice little RPG/Tactic. Nice videos, storyline, and smooth game play. I highly recommend it. :hyper:

Thanks for mentioning, Masa! The helmet
is lightweight, but well detailed. I hop-
e to get more information about t-
his Jeanne D'Arc then. I never
heard of it priorly, then a-
gain, I've been so busy
with so many titles,
I might have mi-
ssed alot mor-
e! Halo 3 is
hard as h-
eck on L-
egend-
ary!!

(still stuck...)

They remade the original for the 20th anniversary of the game... along with I believe parts II & III with updated graphics and sound which really bring new life to the old classic. Least I've been enjoying it anyway!
