Now with another system to deal with, I'm really sparsed around  On PS3 it's been Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Resistance.... Xbox 360 I've been toying with the general manager mode in Smackdown vs Raw and Wii's been on standbye as I just haven't had any time :p

Mario Party titles have always apealed to me mainly due to
the multiplayer board games styled presentation. It rem-
inds me of times when I used to play board games like
Monopoly with other family members. But ultima-
tely (and beyond the nostalgic aspect), the mul-
tiplayer games are what I find most rewardi-
ng for MP titles. My hope is that the mulip-
layer games are enjoyable enough to st-
and on their own. Thanks for the insi-
ght, Ninexpert! I may invest in it i-
f I can find a used copy. Congratu-
lations, Kensieden! Are other bo-
sses counted as kills? Splendid
investments, Roemello! You
will understand how I feel
in no time (laughs)! Goo-
d luck in finding time t-
o play those titles. Cu-
rrntly, I am playing
two newly aquired
titles, both of wh-
ich shall be pos-
ted in a few m-
oments time.
Trying to g-
et back in-
to these g-
ames rig-
ht now

gh!

I seen a review on G4 and read a few online that were non too kind about Motorstorm... what did you think of it? It looks nice, but the reviews kinda paint it as a polished turd

Laughs! Well, not quite polished turd, though the game
is well looking yet lacking in gameplay modes. Ano-
ther issue is that many complain that the actio-
n is too busy and chaotic since the simplest o-
f negative actions can cost a race. The nex-
t problem is that there are not many en-
vironments to play on, so races look t-
he same. The lack of variety does h-
urt, however, if you like frenzied
off-road racing, this game may
appeal to you. My suggestion
is to rent it or if you can fi-
nd it for under 30 dolla-
rs, then by all means,
get it. A challengin-
g game this is too
since opponent-
s capitalize o-
ff of every
mistak-
e yo-
u make.
Online, the-
re is not much
to keep ones inter-
est either besides the
standard racing and a r-
ecently added time-trail m-
ode which in my opinion is wo-
rthless and for enthusiasts only o-
r the very bored (laughs). While I m-
ay sound a bit harsh on the game, it do-
es play decently and looks great intially, h-
owever, it can grow old rather quickly for the
non-persistant. So, my final words are as stated:

Motorstorm (PS3):

-not worth spending 60 dollars on.... 25 or 30 maybe (or a rental)
-not many online modes or variation in gameplay

Maybe I'll get it when it turns "classic" and runs $20 someday then....

Now playing "The Darkness" on 360 and "God of War" for PS2. The Darkness is just what I like to see in a FPS... something with a new twist :) Watching the dark beasts rip hearts out and fight amongst themselves to munch them down...

God of War I picked up cheap and love it!! Always liked Greek mythology, so it's right up my alley! And couldn't go wrong at the price! :bouncy: And the convenience of running the PS2 games on PS3 is key. Games look great on it too :)

I have played the demo for the Darkness, and the
graphic nature of the game is inticing! The he-
art rip was definitely gruesome... and fun!!
What an introduction sequence too! I ca-
nnot wait to find this game used in m-
y area! Glad to hear that you are e-
njoying God of War, Roemello! I-
t is a grand PS2 game and the
sequel is even more enjoya-
ble! Finding Motorstorm
used should not be an
issue since it has b-
een available sin-
ce the PS3's de-
but. I need t-
o progress

any ti-
tles.

Did you unlock any of the other game modes in Resident
Evil, Kenseiden? Finishing the game under certain c-
onditions or within a certain time period unlock-
s them. Let me know what you come up with,
ok? I only opened up one so far, but I hav-
e not really played it again since (laugh-
s). Back to BloodRayne again too, h-
uh? I have not really been gamin-
g much, so all I was able to g-
et into was Scurge for the
DS. I did invest in a 36-
0 title which is som-
e older, but a ga-
me I wanted t-
o own at so-

h!!

The action and dunks on this game is amazing!!! The visuals are well done for a b-ball title, though not NBA 2K quality... plus it runs 60 frames per second. More as a mini-review should I get the chance...

My latest acquisitions include:

Jump! Ultimate Stars
Puzzle Quest
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All

I just finished clearing the last of the missions (including SP (secret)) missions in the adventure mode, so I'm working on doing some fights so I can "level up" the characters I have to get all of the different panels for each character. Right now I've got a few teams put together. My main force had been Nami 6-koma (One Piece), Sakura 6-koma (Naruto) and Luffy 5-koma (One Piece), but I've recently switched out Luffy for Don-Patch 5-koma (Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo) so I'd have a laugher-element character. (The other "elements" being power and knowledge.) It makes a good combination. Nami is great for damage and control (especially crowd control), Sakura is a powerful ring out character (her mid-air weak attack drives an enemy through the platform they're on, at a diagonal, and her special does good damage and blasts enemies forward), and Don-Patch is much like Luffy 5-koma was—a good, fast comboing character. The deck has Naruto 2-koma as it's support (supports are 2-3 koma panels that, when touched, cause the character to come out, do one move, and leave), which does Harem no Jutsu to temporarily stun the opponent, but I'm planning on switching it out for something better. It does still have one flaw I noticed though . . . while Sakura is my Power character, her special is actually Laughter based, meaning I don't have a power based special in that deck. That may be what I replace Naruto 2-koma with.

I've got another deck with Kenshin 6-koma (Rurouni Kenshin) and Gintoki 6-koma (Gintama), which has three supports for when I had a mission with an objective to use a support to KO the enemy. Gintoki 6-koma is made excellent by adding a help (1-koma) character next to him that grants the triple jump ability. His special drives a motor scooter straight forward, driving your enemies in front of it, then exploding at the end. You can easily drive your opponent off the stage with it, and the triple jump ability ensures your safe return.

I tried a One Piece exclusive deck with Luffy 8-koma and Sanji 6-koma, but Luffy 8-koma's moves don't combo into each other well, and he actually knocks the enemy down too much, interrupting your attacks. (He does have one hell of a long life bar though.) I also tried Naruto 8-koma, who was far too slow to be effective. Just when I thought that was going to be the nature of the supposedly-powerful 8-koma creatures I came across Sasuke 8-koma; fast, and very effective. I haven't built a deck around him yet though.

I was quite surprised. Normally you expect the lesser-important female characters in an anime fighting game to get snubbed on the power level, but Sakura and Nami are among the more powerful characters I've used (although Nami's 4- and 5-koma versions aren't much good at all).

I haven't tried the game online yet, although I did go online long enough to get my friend code created.

Puzzle Quest I've reviewed based on the demo before, but having played the actual game for a while, and having had a chance to taste some of the more powerful enemies, and the system of creating items from runes you can collect, I'm glad I did buy the game, it's reinforced my interest in it.

And Phoenix Wright. Now that I've played it, I can't imagine I didn't get this game sooner. I've since beaten the first one, and just picked up the second one today ($20 used, which I thought was a pretty good deal). That game is absolutely hilarious, and very fun, and does make you think too. When the third game comes out, you can bet I'll be picking that up as well.

My hunt for the G-Pak has failed by the by. The local EB Games isn't even aware of the existence of cases that hold more than 9 games. Future Shop (naturally) didn't have anything, and while I knew it would be futile, I even checked the local Walmart and Zellers since I had to go to the former anyway, and the latter is in the same mall as EB. So as of right now, my collection continues to be somewhat cramped in a 9-game case that I could fully fill two of. :\ I think I might browse eBay later. I'm not inclined to buy one off EB Games when they charge rather high shipping, and pick a random colour; I really don't want a hot pink DS case.

Anyway, Puzzle Quest is win, the other three games are all über-win, and that's what it all sums up to.

Good luck obtaining that case, Nakor. I visited an EB in my area and
was told that though they are out of stock for the case that I me-
ntioned to you on another occasion, it could be ordered. Tha-
t was about 2 weeks ago though if memory serves me we-
ll. I have spent little time with both Jump Superstars a-
nd Puzzle Quest... but from what I have played, the-
y fit your description rather well. Puzzle Quest i-
s the title I play more though compared to Ju-
mp Superstars, however this could be the
result of my being lazy about referrin-
g to an FAQ. The fact that I do no-
t have a functional printer doe-
s not help much either (lau-
ghs). Has your impress-
ion of Timesplitters
improved anyt a-

I've been meaning to get Condemned myself... not sure why I opted not to get it way back  I've been jumping around a little, but mainly been tossed up between general manager mode in S vs R 2007 and making my way through The Darkness. If you haven't gotten into that one yet Soloist, you gotta! Waaaaaaaaaaaay worth jumping into. Good story and gameplay to it with the whole 'Darkness' angle

May be getting into Madden by tomorrow too
