Bah, that just means you haven't overclocked it enough yet. :p

I've seen mine hit that but the Q9550's run hot anyways so I am not to worried about it.I could not put an aftermarket HSF on mine unless I left the side of the case off and that is kind of dangerous around here lol.
This summer I see myself shutting this down a lot if it gets to hot and using the laptop.

You noticed that eh? LOL!!

Actually that is a function of an Asus utility. When set to performance level it kicks up
the clock a bit. I don't set any values myself because I know far to little about OCing to
try it right now. Perhaps when I have learned enough to not get in trouble I will try for
3 GHz...

Yeah, hopefully it will not get THAT hot this summer. I gotta wonder if my heatsink would even fit in a Antec 1200??
It is a beautiful case, but not really that much wider than a mid-tower..

I've got the Antec 900 Much smaller then the 1200 but I like the design.Would be hard to give this case up.I think I may replace the fans to higher RPM fans and see if it helps any.It would be more cost effective to try and get 3400RPM fans in here then the stock ones.

Ya, I looked up the 900 online and it definitely looks as if it is designed with cooling as a priority. Nice box....

Ok, so I have to admit to going a bit overboard now as I have added a fan controller and a second burner. I have
promised myself that that is it! It is a completed project.

(For now) LOL!

Got a new monitor today! :D

My old 17" LCD was starting to fade anyway, so I put the 19" Samsung with the Dell and
got this 22" Samsung for my new computer...

Yeah, I like Samsungs. This one hasn't disappointed at all though some user reviews reported backlight bleed around the edges. Not so with mine....

I'm the resident geek at work. I've told anyone that'll listen "Ain't no way in Hell I'm gonna punish my computer with Vista!" so once XP gets to the "not supported" stage, I'm going linux full-time!

Vista really isn't as bad as people have made it out to be.Ya it may hog up alot of memory and such but all in all it really isn't much different then XP after you turn all the BS off to install programs without having to hit ok 50 freaking times.
I play games fine on mine and do video editing without a problem.
I was the same way, said I'd never use Vista but when I built this computer,I realized running XP on it would be like running windows 98 on my old one.

Actually, I'm eventually gonna set up a dual boot on my Dell (XP) and check out Ubuntu...

I am happy that I gave 64 bit Vista a try. It is pretty stable and I do like the GUI.
