Ironic that my last gaming purchase
for 2007 is that of a classic one.
I originally wanted the PSP ve-
rsion, but since it's so diffi-
cult to find these days, I
decided to settle for t-
he PS2 version (wel-
l, at least until I a-
m able to find t-
he PSP versio-
n). Think C-
ontra, but

Metal Slug Anthology (PS2)

Two more games for the new year,
though one is kind of old consi-
dering it was available arou-
nd the time the PSP was i-
ntroduced (the first ver-
sion), while the othe-
r has been out lat-
e last year, but
I just got aro-
und to actu-
ally picki-
ng it u-
p to-
da-
y.
Warrior's Orochi (a fusion of sorts from both Dynasty and Samurai Warriors universes) and Tony Hawk's Underground 2: Remix (essentially, it's a port of the PS2 version with additional and exclusive PSP levels)...
The backs. Tony Hawk was only 10 dollars while Orochi was still 40...

Ok... two more. Actually, it was
less since I traded in the PS2
version of Metal Slug to g-
et the PSP one and the
Simpson's game was
used, so I really d-
id not spend mu-
ch overall. Sti-
ll have to up-
date the P-
S3 as we-
ll (amo-

er th-

Metal Slug Anthology for the PSP and Simpson's Game for the 360...

I had a 60 dollar gift certificate for
FYE, and since there was a rel-
atively weak assortment of
gaming titles available,
I decided to get one
of the quality ga-
mes I've been
looking for
and a se-
t of he-
adph-

s!
Monster Hunter 2 (Freedom) for the PSP which is surprising deep for a PSP title and even features online co-op. To the right is a pair of Skull Candy headphones (I really needed these since mine broke minutes after departing Phily...
Here is the rear of Monster Hunter 2: Freedom...

Just picked up a protective case
for my PSP since I did not wa-
nt the screen to get scrat-
ched, even though I a-
m extra careful wit-
h it... plus I was
able to find a
GBA title t-
hat was
not e-
asy
to
.
The protective case for the slim PSP which is transparent and a bit bulky, but it does protect the screen well which is all I really needed for it to do. Caastlevania: Symphony of the Night is being displayed because even though I have completed this version (two days ago), I would like to get all 200.6% if it's even possible for this rendition of the game.
Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation 2 (GBA) was one difficult game to locate, and in the store which this title was purchased, this was the last one!
Just the back...

Since the UMD format has gone the way of the
dodo and supersized meals (laughs), findin-
g one in a gaming store these days is q-
uite the feat. I was fortunate enoug-
h to find a few which sold for ver-
y cheap... and it helped that t-
hey were selections of my f-
avoring. One of my brot-
hers invested in anot-
her PS2 to replace
one of the now
antiquated
thick on-
es wh-
ile
had a
burned o-
ut lense. An-
yway, I picked u-
p a wireless PS2 co-
ntroller for him to use.
Predator, Family Guy (season's 1 and 2), and Ren & Stimpy (volume 1) for the PSP via UMD...
Disc one for Family Guy...
Discs one through 5 (which is all 28 episodes for seasons 1 and 2)...
The back of Family Guy...
A wireless PS2 controller for my brother...

Got quite a bit today, and this
should be all of my spendin-
g for the remaining por-
ion of this month (la-
ughs)! I cannot w-
ait to try of D-
MC4 and vi-
ew the s-
eries.
The items of today: Devil May Cry 4: The Collector's Edition, Bourne Supremacy (HD-DVD movie, $10), Beavis and Butthead (UMD series, volumes 2 and 3), Twisted Metal: Head On (PS2) and Mission Impossible III (Blu-Ray movie, $10 too)!
The metallic casing for DMC4 (both sides aka the Masa view)...
Inside the case (manual and 2 discs). One being the game while the other is the bonus DVD.
The animated series disc and the artbook!
The rear of the animated series case...
The series disc and casing's interior...
And I also picked up Aeon Flux (on UMD), the animated series that debuted on MTV (back in 95... I think).

One gaming store that I visited today
(one of the Mom and Pop locatio-
ns) had old Game Gear titles
that have been sitting ar-
ound for a long time
(more than 3 yea-
rs), so after a-
sking of th-
em and
lear-
ning th-
at they we-
re only 2 dolla-
rs each and still s-
ealed, I decided to g-
et them. I also saw that
Starship Troopers (UMD) w-
as available for only 5 dollars.
Which of these objects is different (laughs)?
The rear of both Aladdin and Deep Duck Trouble (Game Gear)...
The rear of both The Jungle Book and The Lion King (Game Gear)...
The rear of both Starship Troopers (UMD) and Ms. Pac Man (Game Gear)...

Awesome stuff, Sir Soloist!
How do you like those headphones so far? Are you happy with them?

Thank you, Ingrid! So far, I am enjoying them.
Tis funny that they are advertised to be b-
ass heavy, yet a pair of cheap Coby h-
eadphones I own a while ago are a-
ctually more bass-heavy than t-
hese... but not to too muc-
h though. Now I own he-
adphones for the lap-
top, for the televi-
sion and one fo-
r my Ipod/P-
SP. One s-
pare as
well.

Just a few more older
titles... nothing
major, just
hard to
find
!
Incredible Crisis (I'm surprised this was still available in the local gaming store I acquired it from since I thought that they have phased out all of the PSone games) and One Piece Mansion (both are just a collection pieces)...
The back of One Piece Mansion...
Incredible Crisis... the rear.
Super Bust-A-Move for the PS2 (does anyone remember the old gaming ad that featured this image?) and Caesar's Palace (Game Gear).
Super Dogdeball Advance... a remake of Super Dogdeball on the NES (which had characters similar in look as River City Ransom). This remake features anime-styled characters upgraded visuals/effects.

My g/f and I are not that much into Valentine's Day,
however, we did exchange gifts. I got her a d-
emin heart of chocolates which she adore-
d among other things, and she got m-
e the heart below and die lolly po-
p among other items; and th-
ose items I really enjoye-
d (still enjoying too).
Here are some i-
tems I picke-
d up yest-
erday.
Here is the heart she got me, and I REALLY got a kick out of it!
The die lolly-pop...
Both of these GBA titles can only be used in the sun, even during a cloudy day. The weapon used is most powerful during contact with open sun, not artificial sunlight. Even the environments reflect the time of day in which the gamer is playing. Here they are: Boktai 1 and 2...
Patapon for the PSP and the Best of He-Man (season 2) UMD!
For classic's sake! Street Fighter III: Double Impact for the Dreamcast!

Indeed it is! You should have
seen the denim heart of
chocolates! If my g-

will take a
