Depending on which device you have, some can permanently damage them over time.

The one I have will even work on DVDs and is even recommended by several disc makers.

Still my decision was based on sound quality, nothing else, the rest was just discussion.

So's mine. With the newer digital sound systems, the sound quality of CDs is even better.

I chose CDs. I haven't seen too many vinyl records lately.

I do. The last one I bought was Vulture Culture by The Alan Parsons Project, 20 years ago...

I chose vinyl mostly due to the retro aspect of it. Plus, I can play my grandparents polka records whenever I want. ^_^
