Halo Reach so far to me is just typical Halo. I'm only at the start, but I haven't really bumped into anything mindblowingly unique about it. Great graphics, cinematics, etc., but overall... it's just Halo. If you've played the trilogy and/or spin-off ODST, ya know what you're in for.

Other M I've only just scratched the surface on, but from the little bit I've done thus far, it's looking like a nice lil action packed game. I like the return to a 3rd person perspective with only a mixed in 1st person on the fly when you want it. The cinematics for like the conclusion of Super Metroid are pretty sweet. I haven't gotten far enough in it, though to really say much for it.

Next month for me is gonna be a burn all at once....

I picked up Reach last week, and just finished the campaign (on normal) last night. Since my only other experience with Halo campaigns is the first mission of Halo 2, I can't say it's something I'm used to. Though it has gave me a reason to possibly go back to Halo 2 and give it another chance.

As for Other M, I don't think there's anything left for me to do with that game. It was fun while it lasted, though

conclusive. Getting back to the point, how is the
Other M experience compared to the fully 3D versio-
ns (aka the Prime games)? Just curious about this, tis all.

The Prime games are longer than Other M, considering you play the games normally and don't do any major sequence breaking. Though I'm basing that off of actual gameplay time. At least it seems to be that way. I prefer to compare Other M more to Metroid Fusion than any other game in the series.

Picked up the Playstation Move Tuesday, so been toying with that now as well. So much for any fast completion of the other two titles The Move makes good on all the failures of the Wii and takes the motion control deal to a whole other level. I didn't think much of it at first, but now that I have it, I'm loving it! And actually thinking of not getting the Kinect now... because I'm thinking it'll need to see your full body to register everything and that doesn't suit my gaming environment at all... so I'll probably just leave it at the Move for my motion gaming. I think it'll better suit me than the Kinect... far more versatile with the expanse of game variety it can cover.

That's correct, I remember talking with some guy at E3 who said he probably wouldn't get the Kinect because he wouldn't have enough room for it to work correctly in his apartment.

Primarily the responsiveness of the controls. Far too many times I've encountered lag or the controls not being as fluid and precise as I'd like. Which could be as much a software issue or at least moreso. That and it's more gesture based... you make a gesture and it does something in the game. With the Move, every movement you make translates on-screen in full 1 to 1. When the Wii first come out, that's kinda what I envisioned and hoped for out of it. The Move controller is also a lot more comfortable and the button layout better accessible.

I still like the Wii, don't get me wrong... titles like the Mario Galaxy series, Zelda and Metroid will always have me toying with it, but the Move hardware trumps it. All it needs now is a good lineup of games to go with it and it'll be all set! As of now, that's where the Wii has it beat is the plethora of games available. Once the Move gets going, though, I have little doubt it'll be the winner of the motion control arena.

My only complaint with the Move thus far is the display quality of the camera... it sucks ass... very grainy unless ya have stadium lighting That's the one thing it could use to really be perfect is at least a 720p capable camera. It doesn't effect the motion tracking, but if playing a game that takes a picture of you (like after winning at Sports Champions), it's pathetic.

Nintendo has been trying to fix that with the Wii MotionPlus, though I don't have enough experience with it to determine how much of an improvement it really is. The first time I even used the MotionPlus was at E3 back in June. Though I can say that Zelda actually worked well, as did Deca Sports 3 for the most part. Though it seems that some developers still don't understand how to implement MotionPlus properly (such as with the game, 'Swords'), and it sometimes likes to spaz out (pointing out Miyamoto's on-stage technical blunder, although I didn't experience anything near that bad when I played).

rarely and the fact that I keep forgetting to
recharge the batteries doesn't help much either
(laughs). Pelord, I guess the developers are so use-
d to the old way of implementation that they don't wan-
t to invest more time and energy to utilize the Wii motion
plus functionality if there's no guarantee for a profit. If consu-
mers pay for basic-looking game with the standard control schem-
e, why improve the visuals and adopt a new one if more developeme-
nt time will be needed to familiarize oneself with these updated controls
and high sales prove that these customers are satisfied with the current vis-
uals? This is not to say that my opinion is exact, but it seems to be the case fro-
m my understanding. Another opinion of mine is this: the Move is going to sell well
this holiday and Sony will benefit from this period. I'm not one to make bold statement-
s, but judging from the gaming market right now, I can see opinion actualizing. Do any of
you think this opinion holds merit? If my financial situation was different, I'd have a Move too.

Been playing Reach , LittleBigPlanet, Madden 11 & Super Metroid. It's amazing how well Super Metroid has stood the test of time. Still as fun as it was when I first played it back in high school. And the soundtrack is still amazing as well.

Finished Halo Reach, so now toying with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow... which I'm not overly impressed with as yet, but not too bad. Also picked up NBA 2K11 for PS3 today. Never thought I'd like the simulation style, but was I ever wrong. Loving the realistic feel of 2K11!! It's hard as hell on some modes, but the game plays like a televised game! Everything feels so much more authentic than the Live series was. Goodbye EA... all about the 2K now

hadows trying so many new a-
ngles, and I'm not sure if any or
many of the worked. Hopefully it'll
get better as you progress. Not much
gaming for aside from the moded PSP th-
at a friend of mine gave me. I'm playing Dra-
gon Ball Z Tenkaichi Tag Team. I can't wait for t-
he US release. This game is amazing! The visuals an-
d effects are great for a portable and that full 3D play wh-
ich takes things a step further by having 2 on 2 battles (sim-
ultaneously is quite an accomplishment, especially since the up-
coming Raging Blast 2 (PS3/360) wasn't mentioned of having this!

As my Queen will attest, sometimes it takes a good bit of drilling into my brain before I finally latch onto a good idea on something I may like, but on the fence about This one caught my attention though as every review has this as the best basketball game ever created, so I had to try it. That and the whole Michael Jordan thing was enough to have me try it out and it's definitely fun! Right now I'm hooked on the "my player" mode, so haven't tried too much other stuff yet (aside from a little MJ and "The Association" modes), but I will eventually!

And no... I missed the master chief thing as I didn't realize it was the end of the game til the ending ended That's ok, though... I saw it in that clip, so that's good enough for me.
