I tried the start of Alan Wake and it definitely has a creepy atmosphere. Can't say I'm a big fan of the controls which remind me a lot of Silent Hill, but we'll see how it all goes when I get back to it. Right now I'm consumed by Red Dead Redemption, but even that I may put on hold pretty soon as I just noticed there's another DLC for DragonAge... probably bang that one out, then get back to the Wild West

I picked up Galaxy 2 today, but won't start playing it until tomorrow. From what I've seen of the game, it looks like it will last longer than the first one.

I'm not even focused on progressing to completion of RDD... right now I'm having fun completing the challenges like Survivalist, Sharpshooter, etc. And just hunting for fun (and profits selling the skins, feathers, etc.) The cougars are annoying the hell outta me though, creeping up and pouncing me to death. Then there was a wild boar that plowed into me outta nowhere, knocking me down a hill and off the cliff... only to have another whack me while I was down, killing me. Damn critters!!

RE4. Just got a personal best 1,075 total kills in a first-round Normal-mode game.

I know what you mean, Roemello! I had one Cougar take
down my steed in a single swipe. Needless to say th-
at I wasted the animal and was proud to take its
hide. I failed to perform some of the side qu-
est activities such as gambling and horse
racing and haven't even encountered a
one-on-one shootout yet, but alrea-
dy I'm heading to Mexico. Just w-
ait until you encounter Bears t-
hough. I'll try to play it more
upon returning from my o-
uting in a few minutes.

How did ya get down to Mexico without doing any horse racing? Two of the main quests with Nigel West Dickens are horse racing. One with a cart, one just straight horses. I just completed those and still not in Mexico yet I've run across several one & one standoffs and won 'em all so far. I also had that cougar killing horse thing happen, but I restarted a previous save just to retain the horse (the one you get from the McFarlan quest rounding up horses). So now when I hunt, I keep the horse elsewhere

As for the bears... I'll be ready. If I can kill two cougars with my knife, I'll take care of them bears. My buffalo rifle will help, too

not outside of the actual missions. Now I
am in Mexico and have had my first o-

e. Right now, I'm not progressing
in the story... just trying to un-
lock some of the outfits and
