Laughs! I hear you, Roemello! Next week,
I have 2 big titles to invest in and tha-
t should be it, although there are s-
till about 2 more games I wante-
d to obtain for the holiday be-
fore my videogame purcha-
ses for Christmas. I ma-
naged to acquire two
more holiday titles
plus my g/f man-
aged to get m-
e a Nano to
replace t-
he Shu-
ffle!

:D

Flatout: Ultimate Carnage is said to be striking similar to Flatout 2, but with improved visuals (which fortunately for me, I liked), and Rayman: Raving Rabbids 2 is considered as "more of the same" being acceptible for my family.

My g/f started Christmas early for me by treating me to this Ipod Nano (8GB) which will store all of the songs on my PSP and most of the music on my harddrive!

The inclusions of this version consists of an artbook, the manual, an advertisement for Battlestar Galactica (the series) and a Galactic Codex (which describes many of the races of beings in the game in full detail in addition to the Mass Effect universe itself...)

I made my final gaming run of the year and added a couple more logs to the fire  Got the Wii Zapper w/Crossbow training, RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Trauma Center: New Blood and Mass Effect. No more from now til February for me!

At the least though, I did manage to finish one of my backlogged titles... finished Two Worlds today! :bouncy: Not much of an ending and not a whole ton of depth to the game, but I did have fun with it... a decent play :) Think I may go into Assassin's Creed next...

Here is another birthday present (from my older sister.) That is keeping me busy with the PSP. :thumb: So far so good. I got my ass kicked already when two Nurses surprised me as soon as I walked out into a hallway (before I had the controls down.) :irked:

Congratulations, Roemello and Masa! What do you think of Link's
Crossbow Training, Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed, Roeme-
llo? Both M.E. and AC I find to be extremely rewarding and
enjoyably addictive... especially in the case of the prev-
iously mentioned M.E! In fact, I halted my progress i-
n AC to advance more in M.E and have been enthr-
alled ever since. Sort of like my Oblivion-itis, b-
ut more intergalactic (laughs)! The fluid mot-
ions of AC are incredible! Have you notice-
d how Altaire reaches for the object whi-
ch he intends to grab when climbing i-
nstead of your average animation f-
or climbing? I am sure that you a-
re enjoying Silent Hill Origins r-
ight about now, Masa (laugh-
s)! The story is reminisce-
nt of the first game an-
d the visuals/effects
are better than th-
e original, even
rivaling some
of those in
the PS2 v-
ersions.
Nice!
How is S-
ilent Hill Or-
igins by the wa-
y, Masa? Am I givi-
g the game too much
credit or is it as I said??
Here are two titles I picke-
d up today since they were on
sale and I had an interest in the-
se two games as well! The price was:

(only $9.99 each...)

Virtua Tennis 3 and Mortal Kombat: Unchained, both for the PSP...

Image

Virtua Tennis.. the back. The Virtua Tennis series have always been fun to play for both novices and the hard-core alike. This one is no exception, featuring 12 mini-games and online play (LAN only, though...). A wonderfully enjoyable tennis title this is! :thumb:

Image

Mortal Kombat's rear. This version of MK takes gamers back to Deception, when there were no custom fatalities. A good thing it was not tailored after Armaggeddon, because aside from the wealth of characters available, I cared little about MK: A. I also favored the bonus games in Deception more, and they all are present in this title: MK chess, MK adventure and MK puzzle!

Crossbow training was decent, but I couldn't resist dropping it quick to get into Umbrella Chronicles a bit  I also finally got around to trying out Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on PS3 and loving that one!!! Sucked me in for a while Thursday, but I cracked down and I'm trying to be good and stick to ONE title... and right now I'm focusing on Assassin's Creed and quite immersed in it  Not much more rewarding than sneaking up on one of those damned Templar's and assassinating :evilx: Or even taking out a target in the crowd and making a hasty retreat through the rooftops and into a hiding place til the coast is clear

I've been very tempted to get into Mass Effect, but I have a feeling I'll get way sucked into it, so I'm resisting temptation and saving it for after Assassin's Creed or I'll never finish it  But then, I'll also be torn with Uncharted as I can't wait to jump into that some more too. Damn these big titles.... :hammer: :p

Tell me abou it (laughs)!!! You probably want to wait before
getting into Mass Effect, because if you remember how
much you were absorbed into Oblivion? Well, M.E wi-
ll do the same, and you may play it for just as lo-
ng also. I am 73 hours into it (not in one sitt-
ing of course... laughs), and still enjoyin-
g it. Thanks in part to planning and h-
aving a considerate g/f. Even so, i-
t is not like I have forever to pla-
y it (laughs). Since I have too
many holiday titles, this c-
ourse of action is reco-
mmended since I wi-
ll not have much
time to play t-
hem all dur-
ing the h-
oliday.

In-
deed
Assassi-
n's Creed d-
oes have rewa-
rding stealth kills
which remind me of
how Tenchu (on the PS-
one) had such moments fo-
r patient and stealthy gamers!
The scope of the environments ar-
e breathtaking and the animations ar-
e amazingly done as well! Drat! Now I wa-
nt to get back into it again (soloist looks ba-
ck at the Mass Effect screen). On second though...

While I probably will not being
playing these all now, or e-
ven soon for that matt-
er (laughs), I will be
"testing" them fo-
r quality assura-
nce eventuall-
y (most like-
ly before t-

y). Lau-
ghs!!

Finally able to obtain the Wii Zapper with Link Crossbow Training included!

Image

No... I am not THAT much of a Godzilla fanatic (laughs). Both versions of the game are varied SIGNIFICANTLY! Also, the PS2 version is for my family (mostly the younger kids) while the Wii version (the better of the two with more monsters included) is for myself and the adults.

Image

Ace Combat 6... a great flying title (though less sim, more arcade) and Neo Geo Battle Coloseum caught my interest, especially since it's a 2D fighter!

Ace Combat 6... the back.

This was selling for cheap with box and manual intact, so I purchased it! This is the only non-holiday title posted here.

Finally making some finishing progress... finished Assassin's Creed and Halo 3 this week! :bouncy: Now I'm having trouble figuring where to turn next... highly considering Mass Effect, but fear of being consumed by it :uhoh:

It'll probably be next anyway  :p

Congratulations on your progress with completing Assassin's
Creed, Roemello! I am still waiting to get back to that
title myself, but Mass Effect is not allowing me th-
e opportunity (laughs)! I finished it last week
but decided to go for a second playthroug-
h since there are more achievement p-
oints available for doing so, plus y-
ou get to keep all of your stats
into the next game, so you-
r character is still power-
ful from the first tim-
e playing. Next, I
may try to unl-
ock all the
monste-
rs in:

-Godzilla Unleashed (Wii and PS2)

(for mi familia...)

A few more holiday

more game
and I am
compl-

!

The Ultimate Matrix Collection (HD-DVD) and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (Wii)...

Back of the Matrix box...

The 5 discs for the Matrix Collection - The Matrix, Matrix Reloaded, Matrix Revolution and the Matrix Experience (2 disc set) which includes the Animatrix (a collection of 9 short films based on the world of Matrix).

:)

I
ma-
y play,
er, I me-
an "test" U-
mbrella Chro-
nicles. At first I
thought it was ano-
ther rail shooter, but
after reading more of it,
I learned that although tec-
hnically along the lines of suc-
h a title, it has additional chapt-
ers to unlock for single player mod-
e, and has a great co-op mode as well.

I've started up getting into Mass Effect  So far, so good!! I like the different conversational directions... that should make for a more interesting second playthrough when the time comes... choosing different alternatives the next time around and seeing where they take things. Messing around with Smackdown vs Raw on the side as well... and much as I didn't wanna jump around games, I'm gonna wanna play some more Trauma Center and Mario Galaxy on the Wii when time permits.. Thursday the likely

Surprised am I that you were able to "jump around"
to other titles after playing Mass Effect, becau-
se I simply could not return to another gam-
e for a while after M.E. Not because I w-
as so engrossed, but I found it diffic-
ult to return to a control scheme d-
ifferent from M.E. Odd, eh? Th-
ough it took a while, I finall-
y was able to and started
playing Flatout: Ultima-
te Carnage which I a-
m enjoying. Start-
ed Ace Comba-
t 6 too! May-
be more o-
f M.E to-
day th-
oug-
h.
Goo-
d luck w-
ith progress
on your end. I s-
till have not even to-
uched half of the Christ-
mas titles as of this moment!

Well, I didn't end up doing too much jumping last week... I am waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay hooked on Mass Effect now  Started out a little slow, but once becoming a spectre and having the universe opened up to me... hooked :gamer:

Same here after leaving the Citadel!
While I hoped that space explora-
tion would be a bit deeper, it
fits well for this being the
entry title of the ME un-
iverse. My hope is t-
hat EA does not t-
amper with the
remaining g-
ames of t-
his expe-
cted tr-
ilog-
y.
