First I have to say that I am crazy about all animales, no matter if they are mutts or a specific
eed. I would have them all if it was up to me! If I had to choose a
eed, I would choose German Shepherds. I have one and he is just amazing. His parents were trained for police work and did an excellent job at security. My dog doesn't even need police training the way he is...he is extremely protective of me and won't let people get close to me past a certain distance unless I tell him that it's okay... Inside he is the softest puppy dog... Ingrid
Actually, I'm more of a cat person.... haven't known a day in my life without one. Now that I'm out of apartment living and in my own house, I've been thinking about inviting a dog. Unfortunately, the
eed I would desire to share my life with is WAY too intelligent to put up with my work-a-day lifestyle. My favorite
eed is the border collie. It's out the question, but I can dream. And my dream can become a nightmare for my 3 kitties. I really can't see them putting up with being "herded" here and there by a canine who is obviously smarter than they! LOL! Snarl! Spat! Mreoww!
Hi Barb! I heard that Border Collies are really hyper and need to have a job to do or otherwise they go nuts...I mean really really hyper and destructive... And as for the kitties...hehehe...they will have more fun with the new buddy than you'd know it...hehehe...just wait... Yeeeeeeowwwwww!!!!!!!!!! P.S.: You still have to tell us who you were at the mask party...hehehe... Ingrid
Golden is now four. She's a great dog, but what a hound sometimes, you know? Like today, we took her to go cut down our Christmas tree. I'm big on tradition; we always take the dog. All month long we've been sluffing things off, because I'm too sick or we're too busy -- we're even late getting the tree up. I said "we're definitely going to get the tree today; we have to cut it down ourselves, it's tradition." So anyway, we get the dog in the car and we've just started off when this stench such as would mortify the dead rises from out of the backseat. The kids are all wailing, my husband's frantically rolling down windows, I'm leaning over the back seat to see if she actually did anything back there, and all the while I'm shouting "but it's tradition!" over their cries of disgust. Now, was that a Hallmark moment, or what.
