My new Puppy

Spike is chewing my fingers right off my body. He is 9 weeks old, and bites me until I bleed. What can I do to stop him? He has the rawhide, bones, toys etc. <i></i>

Hi Msspunky!!! I think that baby Spike is just doing what puppies do, including mine who just recently stopped doing that. What I personally found extremely useful is to squirt him with water (using a squirt bottle or water gun). Everytime he's bad, squirt him and add a firm no to that squirt! I think that you will be surprise at how fast Spike stops his biting sport! Try it out and let me know! BTW, does he get to go on a good run??? I have a one year old Shih Tzu that also bites me and hard. I lock her up in her crate when she's bad. It doesn't seem to faze her because she's at it again the next day. <i></i>

Hey Elle53! Your pup sounds like he'll take awhile before he settles down... It can be hard when they nip you! Maybe a good rawhide bone will help him relieve stress...and make it easier for you... <U>Ingrid</U><i></i>
