Okay...Here's the idea...gimme a song and Artist, I'll see if I can hunt down the story behind the song....Just to give you an Idea I'll start it off with Iron Maiden's "22 Acacia Avenue"
22 Acacia Avenue is the second installment of the 'Charlotte the Harlot' series of songs, which began on the very first Iron Maiden album. It is a complex and non-standard song, with several parts which differ radically from each other both in lyrical perspective and musical style. Yet these individual parts combine well into a cohesive whole, making this one of the most creative and unique songs in the metal genre as well as one of Maiden's classic tracks.
Nobody knows who Charlotte the Harlot is, or if she even existed.

Re: The Stories Behind The Music
I got a real good story behind a song. For those of you who know of The Arcade Fire, their 2005 international hit "Neighbourhood #5 (Power Out)" was written about the band's experience in the Infamous Ice Storm '98 that swept across Eastern Canada, Nothern New York, and parts of Vermont. The Arcade Fire are from Montreal, where the storm hit at about 40mm of freezing rain
I lived through the Ice Storm, but I didn't get it quite as bad as some parts did. Still, this song hits close to home for me. Looking out my window and just seeing the trees crack from heavy ice, it was a scary sight. I was basically a prisoner in my own home. It was too dangerous to go anywhere

Re: The Stories Behind The Music
Iron Man is metaphorical, describing the title character. The song indicates that Iron Man may have died and come back to life ("vengeance from the grave" and "Iron Man lives again"); at any rate, Iron Man has become fed up with the way he has been treated by those he served and begins to "kill the people he once saved."Red wrote:Ok Diofan, how about Iron Man by Black Sabbath?
