Tonight's Fireworks! *PICS* & 2 videos...

Post by Diabolique »

Tonight I got invited to a neighbor's house. The couple was having a party with family and friends. We all watched the fireworks from there...so here are a few pictures I took, in case you don't get to see any:

Amazing firework videos, Ingrid and even more
impressive images! With my current camer-
a, nearly impossible it is to take such act-
ive scene without blur bring an issue,
inspite of it having a motion detec-
tor and stability-shot options. A-
lso, night images are never a-
s vibrant either. Have you
by chance considered b-

I managed to take a few as well. (although they aren't nearly as good as what I just saw though)

I'm still trying to figure out how to get good pics of fireworks. Most of the time, they turn out rather blurry because of the lack of light. I tried a different way this year and it seemed to work better. Maybe next time, I will have it down to where I get really good ones. :)

I actually took a movie of it from far away and then captured stills from the movie. LOL That was the only way I could get the focus to work right. :p The movies themselves were trash though. There was too much talking and the explosions weren't that loud. :p

Next time try the twilight setting and see if you get better results that way. That and a tripod if you can. Or set it on top of a flat surface. The twilight setting usually has a moon symbol next to it. ;)

I believe it's the tripod that I am lacking. The fireworks/twilight settings are on the camera, but it gets too blurry from the tiny little movements of my hands when I am holding it. So I had to improvise with the movie mode.
