A broadcaster getting involved in the brawl?

Post by Captain Zap »

Former Miami player Lamar Thomas was the TV analyst for Comcast Sports SouthEast in their coverage of the Miami-FIU game on Saturday. As an out-of-control brawl broke out on the field, Thomas said, "Now, that's what I'm talking about. You come into our house, you should get your behind kicked. You don't come into the OB (Orange Bowl) playing that stuff. You're across the ocean over there. You're across the city. You can't come over to our place talking noise like that. You'll get your butt beat. I was about to go down the elevator to get in that thing."

Even after the players calmed down, Thomas continued to get worked up. "I say, why don't they just meet outside in the tunnel after the ball game and get it on some more? You don't come into the OB, baby. We've had a down couple years but you don't come in here talking smack. Not in our house."

Idiot of the Year?

Well, at least he lost his job for it...with any luck, he won't be able to broadcast middle-school games after that outburst.

Sadly, it's a symptom of the disease that is Miami of Florida football.

LOL Stupid....

That's the first time I have seen an announcer do something like that during a broadcast.
