Anyone go to casino's here?

Post by Shawn »

I went to Casino Aztar yesterday with my Dad,Brother,Uncle and cousin.I don't take more then 100$ when I go but came home with $200 yesterday.Thats a first lol.
I usually don't go to very often,But we think it will be my uncles last trip there. His health is going down hill pretty fast.He is just trying to do as much as he can, while he can and while he is still alive. Its sad to see him in the shape he is in,but he isn't giving up.I have alot of respect for someone like him.Rarely complains about it.
Anyways it wasn't to bad down there as far as the crown goes.We were able to wheel him around without much problem.Usually on Suday that place is packed.

WISHING YOUR UNCLE WELL, SHAWN!

My Mom was the same way when she was alive. She
rarely expressed any sign of pain in our sight an-
d tried her best to keep her discomfort invisib-
le. I respect her and my Dad for their wisdo-
m and guidance and hope to make them
both proud by my attempts to absorb
their highly regarded qualities. My
Dad teaches from the physical pl-
ane of existence and my Mom f-
rom the spiritual, but I am s-
till learning from them bo-
th. Getting to the topic o-
f Casino visiting, thank-
s to my g/f, I tend to g-
o to Atlantic City so-
metimes, but she g-
oes more often th-
an I do (laughs)!
I won my first
and second t-
imes but ha-
ve not don-
e well sin-
ce (laug-
hs)! Sh-
e does
well
to-
o!

(last week, she won: 1200)

I
am s-
orry to l-
earn of you-
r Uncle's health,
but it is good that h-
e is enjoying himself th-
ough. Congratulations on y-
our winnings, Shawn! It seems
like the first time is always the be-
st time... or the first time in a long ti-
me (laughs). Sundays are crazy... but m-
ainly during the afternoon and evenings. I u-
sually go around Sunday mornings (around 5:00-
am). My g/f likes the congestion, but I cannot stand all
of the clutter and smoke. The best time to go without havi-
ng to fight anyone for a machine is early mornings. There wer-
e some Star Wars machines that were popular and I did well on for
my last trip. We may go back to AC again for her birthday in December!

I have never had the gumpshun (sp) to go to casinos. The only time I'd go to one is if someone I want to see (ie Duran Duran) was going to perform in one. I wouldn't gamble though.

I've never gone to one, but after hearing a friend talking about the big buffet there (Foxwoods in CT) for only like $15, it's a little tempting!

I'd be the only weirdo not going for da gambling, just the food  I have little to no gambling interest, so I'd probably do a little Keno and slots in between my buffet crashing

About 5 or 6 years ago, I went to an Indian Casino in NY with my Grandmother and her Granny's group

While we were there, as part of a promotion, each of us were given free Nevada Tickets (think that's a Canadian term; they are those cardboard tickets you break open and match up the symbols). Anyhow, I was second last in line to get one, when my Grandma calls me out of line just to ask me if I was having a good time. Meanwhile, the lady behind me took my place, and the ticket she got was a $500 winner. That could have been me :(

In July, I went to Ameristar in Vicksburg. (Vicksburg has four casinos: Ameristar, Diamond Jacks [formerly, Isle of Capri-Vicksburg], Horizon [formerly Harrah's-Vicksburg], and Rainbow Casino.)

I went to a few casinos when I was in Vegas. I only played the nickel slots, though, cos I'm a cheapo. :p I had more fun people-watching.

I'm a big fan of Vegas, but I go more for the food and social aspect than the gambling.

We go every now and then to Argosy in Southern Indiana (Lawrenceburg or Lawrenceville , I forget the town)

I don't spend more then a hundred, but last few trips I've done well and brought home almost all of it. I usually play the penny and nickle slots, I'm such a cheapskate. Haven't been there though since beginning of summer, haven't had a running car for about two months, and now with my surguries I haven't been walking too far. Hope to go back before the end of the year maybe.

Forgot to add that for my 21st birthday, twos aunt and two uncles took me on a bus trip up to Atlantic City. Had a great time. On the ride up we played bingo on thye bus and I won twice, I think around $50. I think the other passengers were gonna leave me at the next rest stop. lol Didn't do especially well in the casinos, but it was nice seeing all the oppulance and glamour. I remember getting home to my sleepy little town (where they roll up the sidewalks at 8 p.m.) and thinking WOW this isn't Atlantic City
