Thanks for the props, though I may not be deserving of them
since I used the save and load feature on the PSP for th-
e NES games. When I first played this game for the
NES, I spend nearly an entire day upgrading my
character and finding my way around the la-
nd. And just when I was about to fight t-
he boss (since I decided to pause the
game to get some food, though w-
hen I returned), the game froz-
e! And Rygar doesn't have a
save feature, only a con-
tinue one if I remem-
ber correctly. But
if the game fr-
eezes and
you ha-
ve
to hit
the rest b-
utton, that co-
ntinue feature is c-
onsidered void. I've d-
ecided to replay the game
to do now what I couldn't do t-
hen, in spite of the new save fea-
ture and a youtube video or two (laug-
hs). Yeah, the road to Lygar was a challe-
nge, but a video I've seen made the trek that
much more simpler and defeating him much easi-
er (though you will still lose a lot of health). Mega Ma-
n titles are tough by design, so I applaud your progress in
challenging the entire series one game at a time. I'm not sure
I have the patience to play that series now... unless I'm using a G-
ame Genie (laughs). I'll get back to Battle of Olympus one day eventually.

Rygar was one I'm proud to say I legit beat on the NES back in the day. Took me a while to figure it all out at the start, but once past the first few levels, I was coasting through. I spent a lot of time building up, though.... I wouldn't leave a level until I had so much health built up in preparation. Battle of Olympus I couldn't sort out even with a cheat device and save states on emulation  That game was just bizarre and I don't have the patience to reference walkthroughs, so I left that to the burner :p

As for now... with the summer photo season pretty much done and while waiting for the Fall colors to show themselves, I've jumped back into Skyrim... continuing to toy with my mega mage character. Maybe once build up, I'll consider the first DLC. Not the heartfire one, but the one before that... building and guarding a home in the latter doesn't seem immensely appealing :p

Congratulations on completing Rygar without aid!
After suffering a game-freeze scenario back
then, I lost patience to play it normally,
especially since I played it almost a-
n entire day when I first acquir-
ed it. Battle of Olympus wa-
s the opposite for me t-
hough since I did fin-
ish this game wit-
hout aid back
then. Now
I'm usi-
ng a-
id
to co-
mplete it
since I no lo-
nger have the t-
ime or patience to
see it through (laughs).
I still would like to try Daw-
nguard and Hearthfire but I so
much to accomplish in the standa-
rd game with my warrior character. I
forgot the level (laughs). I did manage to
finally get into Batman: Arkham City and was
amazed with how well this game was assembled
from story to character cast to pacing not to menti-
on voice acting, music and gameplay. I'm going to dow-
nload the Harley Revenge since it takes place after the ma-
in game and since I've completed it, it would make sense to do
so (laughs). Maybe now I can try to get into Dragon's Dogma as well.

Oh, and yes... the Autumn season
is now officially upon us so thi-
s is the perfect time for c-
amera shots, provided
the scenery is natu-
rally decorated
for photo o-
pportun-
ities.

Wanted to mention here that I've recently done a live playthrough of Banjo-Kazooie (the XBLA version). It's all up on Twitch.TV :P I'm currently doing the same with the GBA game, Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge.

After finishing Rochard, I started playing Quantum Conundrum. I think I'm almost finished that one, but I'm not sure.

That's great, Pelord! I'm going to see if I can
get the Harley's Revenge DLC for Batm-
an Arkham City since I've complete-
d the main game and have very
little to complete now. I'll se-
e if I can view at least so-
me of that playthroug-
h that you've ment-
ioned. Good luc-
k with Grunt-
y's Reven-
ge. I've
only
tested
that game
out. I may sa-
mple it again sin-
ce it's been a while. I-
t's been so long that I've
forgotten the gameplay (lau-
ghs). What's funny is that I've n-
ever played the original. Yes, I know
I deserve a twack for that. I do rememb-
er the wacky music though since my nephews
used to play it religiously and that music couldn't b-
e ignored (laughs). I'll check for your play-through Sunday.

(hopefully...)

Started up Dawnguard for Skyrim finally today. Seems to add a lot and change a good bit not only in the expansion story, but in the main game itself! More smithing options, more alchemy... I read there's new spells, shouts, items, enemies and other stuff, too, so a pretty packed DLC! Good one to grab for any fellow Skyrim addicts :gamer:

After Banjo, I moved on to the Xbox Live version of Jet Set Radio (completed), and I'm currently on the Xbox Live version of Sonic Adventure 2. Cleared the Hero and Dark story. After the Last story, I'm thinking of moving on to NiGHTS (which I have little experience with, so it will be a new game to me).

I knew you'd be able to appreciate the additions which came
along with Skyrim's Dawnguard DLC, Roemello! I'm plann-
ing on getting it eventually myself. At first, I though-
t not much would be added to the world itself, jus-
t the locations that dealt with theme. What do
you think of the crossbow (if you've tried it
yet)? Congratulations on completing Ban-
jo, Pelord! You are referring to the G-
BA version, right? I know you've do-
ne the playthrough of the consol-
e version (XBLA), that's why I
am assuming (laughs). It's
great that you've compl-
eted Jet Set Radio (I
am still used to Je-
t Grind Radio, t-
he Dreamcast
version's na-
me in the
US). It's
a sha-
me
that s-
ome of th-
e tracks from
the classic versio-
n were omitted from
this one, but the replace-
ments were said to be ok. Y-
ou've completed Last Story? If s-
o, what did you think of it? I wanted
it because it's said to be the last great R-
PG for the Wii. What's funny is that I've nev-
er played NIGHTS so if I were to download it, thi-
s would be my first time experiencing it. I doubt that
would happen though since I'm currently drowning in titles.

(still messing with Dynasty Warriors Next on the Vita...)

By 'Last story', I was referring to the ending of Sonic Adventure 2. If I actually attempted the Wii RPG The Last Story, It would take me a while, and I can't say I'm too interested in the game at the moment.

And yeah, I finished the GBA Banjo sometime last month, unfortunately I didn't get anywhere close to my 100% best time that I set years ago (which was about 2 and half hours, my recent run took almost 5 hours).

Oops! Laughs! Many apologies, Pelord! Sorry about
the misunderstanding. Congratulations on com-
pleting Sonic Adventure 2 and Banjo Kazoo-
ie (GBA). I'm nowhere near being a com-
pletist like I used to (laughs). Just a
hit and run gamer now. I'm still p-
laying Dynasty Warriors Next,
but I recently downloaded
Retro City Rampage a-
nd can't wait to get
started on that
one. I'm sure
there were
other fa-
ctors
that con-
tributed to y-
our current perf-
ormance with Banjo
in comparison to your p-
revious effort. I know that
if I were to attempt classic ga-
mes that I grew up with now, my
performance with them would be pit-
iful at best unless such a title didn't fall
in the categories of fighter or beat-em-up
(laughs). Adventure and RPG's are titles I suf-
fer with these days since my patience level with t-
hem is not so great in terms of replaying classic versi-
ons of such games. How did things go with playing NIGHTS?

NiGHTS has gone ok so far, but I realized I need to improve at it if I want to unlock the final stage. It was my first time really playing it, though.

Good luck unlocking the final stage in NIGHTS, Pelord.
I've always wanted to play that game, but chances
are that the closest I'll get to playing it is vie-
wing gameplay footage of it (laughs). It r-
eminded me of a PSX game that I've p-
layed a few times (just messing ar-
ound) called Pandemonium 2. I
never tried the original. Wh-
ere you able to complete
Final Fantasy X, Kens-
eiden? How is your
progress with H-
eadhunters R-
edemptio-
n? I'm s-
till m-
essing a-
round in Re-
tro City Rampa-
ge (as I do in man-
y of the sandbox style-
d games). I'll take time to
actually make progress later.

WWE '13. Love the amount of control over everything this time around and the fact they finally got all the entrances down correct. Though I still haven't seen any of these supposed 200+ branching storylines in universe mode they heralded... from what I've read, 99% of people playing the game haven't either :p But it is a lot better than WWE '12, so it works! And I even like the Attitude campaign... didn't think I'd bother with it, but actually having fun going through it!
