Would you believe that Sony could have created a better
or updated version of the Eyetoy to accompany the
Move but opted not to so as to make the curr-
ent version usable since it failed on the P-
S2 and to keep costs low, especially s-
ince its function is primarily to tr-
ack the Move. With this bein-
g the case, Sony should h-
ave told developers n-
ot to implement a-
ny feature asid-
e from reco-
gnizing
the
Move
in an att-
empt to hide
this sad fact. Oh
well. I barely have r-
oom for the Wii's that I
own in the areas in which t-
hey both rest. In my personal g-
aming area, I'm usually not in the m-
ood for arm flailing, so the Wii is used
rarely and the fact that I keep forgetting to
recharge the batteries doesn't help much either
(laughs). Pelord, I guess the developers are so use-
d to the old way of implementation that they don't wan-
t to invest more time and energy to utilize the Wii motion
plus functionality if there's no guarantee for a profit. If consu-
mers pay for basic-looking game with the standard control schem-
e, why improve the visuals and adopt a new one if more developeme-
nt time will be needed to familiarize oneself with these updated controls
and high sales prove that these customers are satisfied with the current vis-
uals? This is not to say that my opinion is exact, but it seems to be the case fro-
m my understanding. Another opinion of mine is this: the Move is going to sell well
this holiday and Sony will benefit from this period. I'm not one to make bold statement-
s, but judging from the gaming market right now, I can see opinion actualizing. Do any of
you think this opinion holds merit? If my financial situation was different, I'd have a Move too.
