When will you start decorating your
home or place of residence for
the holiday (for those who
do)? Have you already
started or have c-
ompleted the
decorat-
ing?

I'm already all decor'd up... took care of all that this past Sunday! Not too much to it, though... just a few things hung up and a little decor for the exterior, but no tree or anything. Just enough to make for a festive mood
Ah, Christmas decorations. One of those nice things that I get to enjoy either for the beauty or the unintentional tacky humor value, but never have to deal with putting up myself. I love being Jewish.
Of course, if I did put up some lights, I could always do something like this guy did, if my neighbor were all hardcore about it:

Going by that logic, wouldn't it be best to be an atheist? Then you could theoretically do whatever you want!
Theoretically, but seeing as no Jewish holiday traditionally necessitates putting up flashy decorations of any sort, it works just as well this way. I can keep my usual religion and still not have to put up with spending days putting up decorations. The extent to which you're really supposed to "decorate" anything in Judaism is to put a menorah in your window on Chanukah. That's about it. Five minutes a night for a week and you're done.
Usually I go all out, but this year, I decided not to put anything up. It's going to be hard enough.
Mom and I are going to my Sister's house, where everyone decided to get together. Next year we will decorate and everyone will come up here. I am going to put a little tree on Dad's grave. He always did like the Holidays and sold Christmas trees when I was little.

((((( Masa))))) Hopefully with time, things will get a bit easier.
Since my sister will be decor-
ating this year again, I e-
xpect the decoration-
s to be up either o-
n Christmas Eve
or the day af-
fter Chris-
tmas. A

become tr-

wants to do it a-
ll by herself being t-

one can help. Oh well I say!!
