I Love Lucy premiered today in 1951, and has been on the air ever since. Although Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s marriage didn’t last off the air, Lucy and Ricky are one of the great couples in television history.

I have to agree. Lucy and Ricky were the first ones I thought of.
However, I think that Archie Bunker and Edith made for some good times. :lol

For some strange reason, I'm getting the picture that you two are trying, in a subtle way, to say that you're both very, very, very OOOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD.
As far as TV couples, does Marge and Homer Simpson count?

Also Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore...
Or before that, George Burns and Gracie Allen.

Al & Peg Bundy were favorites of mine.

Aw, I was beaten to Al and Peggy. Married with Children is one of my all time favorite shows. I'd have to go with Marge and Homer too.
Re: Who are your greatest t.v couples?
I liked the couples in the Shedd's spread commercials, also the couple in the Taster's Choice commercials.

I caught a few of these in rerun a couple years ago. I really liked the chemistry of this couple.

Re: Who are your greatest t.v couples?
I have to say Charles and Caroline Ingalls and Ricky and Lucy.
Re: Who are your greatest t.v couples?
Marge and Homer get my vote. They serve as a perfect example of how to put up with your spouse's ridiculousness.
That said, I don't care so much about couples in general. If you can count larger, non-romantic groups of people, then I'd say the Three Stooges, or maybe the Marx Brothers.
