For some reason, I didn't really want an iPod or a Zune. I didn't like the looks of the other brand names until I visited the Sony Style store and saw the new Sony 4GB Walkman. It holds music, videos and photos, and I really loved the look and design of it, so I am now the proud owner of one!
One thing though is that some mp3s I upload won't recognize the album sleeve. I still can't seem to get the sleeve for 'Now You're Gone - The Album' by Basshunter to appear. Everything else works though. Small snafu, nothing major. Music on the go is all I really want
I have a 30 gig ipod myself... works perfect for me! I mainly use mine hooked up to the car stereo these days.... better sound than radio and much better music selection
That one looks pretty nice though! Looks like it comes with the right kinda headphones too that actually fit in your ears and stay there comfortably
I use a Sansa View. Specifically selected for being the best quality for playing video (320x240, plays h.264 encoded videos among others), in addition to just music. I have the 8GB variety, as my music collection doesn't even amount to a quarter of that much.
Nice, nice. I have a very similar Sony video mp3 player, but it has 8 GB instead of 4 and the buttons are laid out a little bit differently:
I've been really happy with it so far. Its ability to let me watch anime on it saved me from massive boredom two nights ago when Ohio got whacked with the remnants of Ike and the power went out.
I had a prehistoric (by today's standards) Rio 500, which died on me a few months ago... only had 64 MB's of internal storage, but I didn't really care.
Now, I'm thinking of getting an MP3 / Video watch from Think Geek...

It's just me, but I like combining portable devices together.

I have an iPod Nano. It's only 4 gigs and it freezes up more than I'd like. The other day it rebooted itself for no reason. I want to upgrade to something with a lot more memory, but haven't decided what to get yet.
You tried your best and failed miserably. The lesson is, "never try."
I have a first-generation 1GB iPod Nano. I mostly use it in the car, since I'm stuck with a lame cassette deck and no CD player. I got a great charger/FM transmitter from eBay which is a sanity-saver on trips longer than 20 minutes.

That is the larger sized version of the one I have. The internal display is identical. I almost condsidered gettign the 8GB instead of the 4GB, but I'm a cheapskate and wanted to spend as little as possible

So far, I've filled half of it with 21 full albums. I get so I don't really know what to put on it. It takes so long to rip the CDs, then label each track with title, album and cover, but in the end, it's worth it
All my songs were already in mp3 form, so I didn't have to do anything other than figure out how to add them all the the Windows Media Player library and sync the mp3 player to that. I don't normally use WMP for much of anything, so it took me a little while to get it to do what I wanted, but now that I know how it works, it's pretty convenient.

That's what makes the Sony model so good. You can just plug it into any computer and you don't really need to have any software
Yup. It'll sync to any computer with WMP on it, and to transfer videos and stuff, you can just use Windows Exploder. This player has been totally worth my money so far.
