Congratulations on your completion of the Simpson's Game, R-
oemello! I guess I can finally speak to you about the plot
twists (laughs)! What did you think of the special g-
uests from another show and then the creator?
The dialog of this game is hilarious! Tis g-
reat that you are a getting into Metal
Gear Solid 4, Snake! You probably
have gotten further than I hav-
e (laughs) since I just met
up with Otakon (laugh-
s). We will have to
see about that
tournamen-
t, Snake.
Creat-
ing
one t-
hat fits e-
ither ours or
the other partic-
ipants schedules wi-
ll be very challenging, e-
specially since I am mostly
available on Mondays, but du-
ring the week can vary, but eve-
n on Mondays, if other factors inte-
rvene, then the problem of scheduling
remains. If you come up with any more id-
eas on this, feel free to PM me or mention s-
o here. I hope to be playing all of these someday.

I am VERY sleepy right now,
so more explanations c-
oming tomorrow if
all goes well. I
will play th-
es then
I gue-
ss.

Just some older titles selling for about $4 each (used)...

Image

Back to Stone (GBA) was a challenge to find. And to think that the store where I found it was an unlikely location and was only $5 ($4.99 used). Contra was $14.99 (used) and the Legend of Kay was $8.99.

Image

This is the cheapest that I've seen this one. Oddly enough, there were 2 other copies both selling for different prices. One was $17.99 and the other was $19.99.

Soul Calibur IV (PS3) and Astro Boy (PS2)!

The reason why I invested in this version...

Simpsons was definitely a riot and the cameos were great  As were all the gaming parodies which is really why I got it... I wanted to see what kinda spins they put on all that  I really gotta get into MGS 4... I keep hearing about how great it is... it's sitting there waiting for me and I keep getting sidetracked :gamer:

The Simpson's Game is akin to an interactive lost episode! This
game will definitely remain in my library of titles thanks to
the comical dialogue in the form of one liners. Tis a sh-
ame the multiplayer mode was more of an aftertho-
ught since it heavily caters to player one with th-
e second player merely tagging along, but it's
still a decent addition. Being better fleshe-
d out would have helped this mode muc-
h more. I too am hearing so much of
Metal Gear Solid 4... and all I did
so far was reach Otakon (sim-
ply pathetic). Too bad ther-
e's no achievement poin-
ts as an additional in-
centive (laughs)! I
still have Uncha-
rted to finish
along with
Assassi-
n's Cr-
eed:

(and a host of others...)

 Yeah, I still got Uncharted to do as well... I stopped at a furiously frustrating gun fight  And also have a slew of others here as well to get through.... mainly on the 360 side, but also have a few on Wii and one other on PS3 in the form of Ratchet & Clank :p And I agree... trophies would be nice  :p

At least you have the pseudo achievements in
Uncharted (laughs)! I was playing Marvel
Alliance a bit... and still did not get
out of the initial area (laughs).
I blame this pathetic progr-
essive rate of advanci-
ng on cleaning the
room (laughs).
I'll get back
to Unch-

(tomorrow if all goes well...)

Does anyone have any PS3 trophies? Nobody on my buddy list appears to have any. What do you get them for?

I don't have any... though I haven't even turned my PS3 on in a couple weeks  But I don't think too many games if any at all are integrated into the system just yet... Soloist would probably know better than I though if any are and what they are... such he shall chime in soon I'm sure

I have no trophies yet, Snake... but that's mainly because the games
currently available that offers the trophies are obscure titles (w-
ell, at least for me... laughs). The other games have yet to
be released. From here on out, it's up to the third part-
y developers to integrate the trophies into their g-
ames, and chances are that you will need an u-
pdate and must play through the games ag-
ain to earn the trophies. To date, the o-
nly third party titles to have trophie-
s are Bioshock and Novastrike f-
rom my understanding. The
other titles which will h-
ave trophies have n-
ot even been re-
leased yet (l-
aughs). H-
ere is t-
he li-
st:

BUZZ! Quiz TV (not sure if this is out yet)
LittleBigPlanet
MotorStorm Pacific Rift
NBA 09
PAIN**
PixelJunk Eden (out now)
Resistance 2
SOCOM: Confrontation
Super Stardust HD** (out now and the only good singleplayer game which features trophies from this small listing...)
Warhawk** (out now... remember, this game is multiplayer only)

S-
uper
Stardust
is a hybrid o-
f sort merging t-
he gameplay styles
of Galaxy Wars and A-
steroids and is enjoyable
despite the simplistic tone i-
t gives off. Hopefully this helps.

You'd think the first game that would have came out with an update to support trophies would have been COD4.

I would have thought so too, especially considering how popular
a game it is online for the PS3... but it seems that every
developer is waiting to see how the trophies will be
implimented for titles that have already been
played. The structure that is becoming p-
opular is requiring the players to re-
play their games to earn the t-
rophies. It's slow to catch-
on, but I am certain t-
hat eventually the
system will be
supported
bette-
r.
Also
keep in
mind that t-
his system is re-
latively new for the
PS3, and 3rd party dev-
elopers won't gain addition-
al revenue by applying trophies
to games that have already sold an-
d no longer are or are slow to. If there
was a way that 3rd party developers could
earn money for implimenting this system to t-
heir old games released for the PS3, I am certain
more will be willing to rework them. If Sony grants d-
ecided to grant them additional funding, more will come.

I got Tyrian to work on my system with DosBox, so I'm now playing through Tyrian again. Damn that game was fun. Best sh'mup to date I've ever played. Also got my Epic Pinball installed on it, and am currently trying to locate my copy of One Must Fall, which I'm sure I have laying around here somewhere.

Congratulations on getting Tyrian to function on your system,
Nakor! Have you tried the Impossible or Suicide difficu-
lties yet (laughs)? Would you consider this game m-
ore of less of a challenge than Ikaruga? I've se-
en some footage of it, and from what I g-
ather, this game can be considered a-
s Raiden on steroids both in the s-
peed department and the rap-
idity of the enemies. The-
re was said to be ma-
ny secrets in this
game. It's mo-
re 2D than
Raiden
thou-
gh.

Even though I had Soul Calibur since last week,
I refused to play it after learning that both
special characters very well may end u-
p being downloadable content on t-
heir opposing systems. And I re-
ally wanted the Premium Edi-
tion because of the bonu-
ses. And since I didn't
open it, I was able
to trade it in fo-
r this edition
and paid t-
he diff-
eren-
ce.

This is the version of Soul Calibur IV I REALLY wanted after gaining information on the idea of a specific character being potentially downloadable. Even if this scenario fail to actualize, I can always invest in the PS3 version used because Darth Vader is the character I'd rather fight againt and with if I had the choice of Yoda and Vader (especially after viewing their fighting styles).

Haven't played Ikagura or Raiden, so I couldn't say. Just playing through on Normal at the moment, but back when the game was new I remember getting up to Impossible, then Suicide. I never realized it at the time, but there was a third hidden difficulty called Lord of the Game or some such. I may have to try it eventually.

Got Soul Calibur IV today, so been messing around with that. Unlocked all the characters, so now just gotta get through the arcade mode and lost souls deal. After that I think I may get that Ninja Gaiden II DLC and kick some arse :gamer: :hammer: Also been toying with Puzzle Quest on the side.
