We did finally got approval for his MRI, but Jesse did talk to his case manager today and she said we'd be getting a call sometime tomorrow from the place that does the MRI screening with the date and time of his MRI. Finally, it's good to know that he finally got approved for the MRI, BUT, Worker's Comp is telling Jesse that he CAN'T get a second opinion from his doctor UNLESS they ( Worker's Comp ) approves it first !!!!! These are the dummest people we have ever dealt with !!!! Jesse pretty much told her she didn't know what the hell she was talking about and that he had every RIGHT to get a second opinion whether they liked it or not. Of course she DIDN'T like that and tried to give him a hard time, but he wouldn't hear it !!!!!

He finally got his first Comp check Wednesday and because the doctor put on the paperwork that he can still work with restrictions.... lifting between 1 and 5 lbs only and NOT LIFTING over his waist, he is only entitled to a PARTIAL disability payment of UNDER $250.00 every week That is NOT even half of his wages in one week ( He's supposed to be getting 60% of his wages ) So now he has to talk to the doctor about lifting the 1 to 5 lbs restrictions and take him out of work completely so he can get his 60% of wages, until they know what kind of damage we're dealing with here. So I should hopefully know more tomorrow night.....

Jesse's MRI is scheduled for 11:30 a.m this morning. We're shocked that it is so soon as we were expecting it to take place sometime next week or in 2 weeks. Believe me, I'm NOT complaining !!!! Next step after the MRI is contacting the doctor for the results and to also have her lift the restrictions and put him completely out of work. So hopefully that will happen within the next few days. I'll keep you posted

Jesse had his MRI finally, after it got re-scheduled twice this week. Now we're waiting to talk to the doctor on Sept. 7th to get the results. We should find out if he needs surgery or not then. I'll let you know next week.

Jesse got his results yesterday and they're not good..... he has several rips in his bicep muscle as well as bone spurs & bone chips. He is waiting for Worker's Comp to appove his visit to the Orthepedic Surgeon. It looks at this point he needs surgery and he's out of work until at least the beginning of the new year. Will keep you posted.....

Ingrid, he's going to see the surgeon this coming Tuesday. We just found out we still have the health insurance BUT we have to send in our $53.00 payments every week or they will cancel it. Money is starting to get tight, but we're still holding on..... since Jesse is diabetic we have to make sure the insurance gets paid so he can still get his insulin. We're still waiting for Workers Comp to increase his checks so he can receive 60% of his wages instead of the 25% he's receiving now. Hopefully it won't be long.

It seems like it is going by fast, but it seems like it's taking forever also. He hasn't been in work since Aug. 2nd and we've had to fight with Workers Comp every step of the way. Jesse told his case worker that he needs to get back to work, that he can't stand being home anymore. So we're hoping that his surgery will take place very soon, I have more vacation time coming to me on my 3 year anniversary ( Sept. 27th ) so I will be able to take care of him after the surgery. Then after that he has the therapy to get through. Being that he's diabetic, it will more than likely take him longer to heal. Anyway you slice it though, we're looking at him returning to work possibly sometime early next year. I'll keep ya posted

My mom is Also diabetic Jodi. When she had her heart attack and had to have her 5-way bypass, it took her over 2 months to heal as opposed to a non-diabetics 2-3 weeks. However, the thing to get going now are getting the restrictions lowered to where he can't work, and getting that surgery done. I would think the longer they procrastinate, the more Jesse's injuries will worsen.

However, the thing to get going now are getting the restrictions lowered to where he can't work, and getting that surgery done. Thanks Brian..... He did get the restrictions lowered so that he is out of work completely. He also saw the surgeon on Tuesday the 18th and he IS going to have surgery to correct the damage. Now we are waiting for Workers Comp once again to approve the surgery and hopefully he'll be having the surgery in 2 to 3 weeks. Now if Workers Comp will finally start paying him the 60% of his pay instead of the 25% that he is currently receiving, things financially would be a little better. I'll let you all know when the surgery is. Thanks for your concern everyone
